“We were extremely unwelcomed at the cafe door”

I went there with my friend to have lunch and drinks. The staff asked us to wait, maybe to be seated? but he just ignored us completely. We kept waiting at the door for a while and he never came back, instead he kept ignoring we are actually there. I knocked the door to grab his attention again but ...he kept ignoring... there were plenty of free tables inside. This just gave us a very bad impression about the place as we were treated unfairly for no obvious reason.
