I love sushi and was looking for one place where I can take my friends to go visit and eat some good sushi. This place has always been good and love the taste of the sushi. Love this place and it's sushi , tempura, and drink course. Fresh and good flavor. Want to come here again and eat here. I like...d eating the sushi with the traditional sake. Was great. Easy place to hangout with your friends and family. Love the atmosphere and the service is above average. Can recommend this place many times over. Great spot to go if you want Hokkaido food too as it's a Hokkaido food restaurants with it's food. If you are just in Tokyo and can't travel to Hokkaido this was a pretty good choice to still taste Hokkaido in Tokyo and not need to go to Hokkaido. And it's in an easy to access area, Shinjuku, which has some other cool stuff to see after you eat too! Great spot cannot recommend enough.

I came to this restaurant for a celebratory dinner with family and I was thoroughly impressed with the service, food, and vibe of the restaurant. The staff were also extremely helpful. I am still very new to Japanese culture and food so it was nice to have all of the dishes explained with great deta...il. I was told what beer or drink would go best with each entre and the staff was very attentive to me. Before I even realized that my drink was getting low the staff was already ready to refill my drink. The restaurant was also quite spacious especially for its location which is notoriously known for not having much space at restaurants. My favorite dishes from the meal were the fish and the tempura. They were both very delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to any person that likes sushi and even if you don’t like sushi they have many other options to choose from as well that are quite delicious as well.

After work, I found this place while looking for somewhere to meet friends for dinner and a chat. It’s located in a lively area of Shinjuku, so it’s very convenient. We ordered the ¥6,600 “Unkai” course. The restaurant focuses on fresh ingredients from Hokkaido, and even the drinks feature local sp...ecialties. For my first drink, I chose a melon sour—it was fairly average, more like a light starter. My second drink was a Yoichi highball, which was excellent—smooth and easy to drink. I finished with a local beer, which was a very satisfying way to end the night. As for the course, my favorite was definitely the variety of sushi. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and delicious. The set also included tempura and chawanmushi—the chawanmushi even had crab on top, which was a nice surprise. The fried squid was also very tasty, and I really enjoyed it. Whether you’re looking to have a few drinks or a full meal, I highly recommend this place.

One of the best spots for sushi in Shinjuku by far. A hidden gem that’s not too far from the station, I went here with a group of friends who are Tokyo locals that know the food scene quite well. We had the Unkai Course which was like a round trip experience of Japanese cuisine. This course has ev...erything, and it’s great way to sample all the dishes available without ordering à la carte. The price for what you get is unreal. The atmosphere is lively and versatile. Intimate enough for small groups, with room to accommodate for big groups. The service was excellent which is typical for Japan, yet our waiters went above and beyond, even explaining the cuisine and suggesting drink pairings. Melt in your mouth sushi, tempura with the perfect amount of crunch, and craft beers to wash it all down. Can’t wait to come back here on my next visit to Tokyo!

I recently visited Sushi & Robata Sushiyama Shinjuku Kibori and had a really enjoyable experience 🍣 The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from Shinjuku Station, which makes it easy to stop by whether you’re shopping or heading out for dinner. Despite being in such a busy area of ...Shinjuku, the space felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The interior has a warm, wooden aesthetic that feels both cozy and modern, and the restaurant itself seemed quite new and very clean. It also wasn’t too noisy, which made it easy to have a relaxed conversation. The sushi was fresh and nicely balanced, with each piece carefully prepared and flavorful. Portions for each dish were on the smaller side, but everything tasted great and it allowed us to try a wider variety of items. In addition to sushi, they offer a selection of robata (grilled dishes), which pairs really well with drinks. The staff were polite, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Overall, it’s a comfortable and versatile spot that works well for dates, casual dinners, or catching up with friends. I would definitely come back again!
