“Timeless Matsusaka Beef Experience in Yokohama Kannai 🥩✨”
If you are looking for a truly reliable place to enjoy premium Matsusaka beef in Yokohama’s Kannai area, I highly recommend Yokohama Serina Roman Chaya 🥩✨ Established in 1984, this long-running restaurant has been loved for more than 40 years. Just a 3-minute walk from Kannai Station, the restauran...t is located in a basement space filled with elegant old-school Japanese atmosphere. The polished counter seats, spacious tables, and beautifully maintained interior create a luxurious yet comfortable feeling. This time I enjoyed the “Special Matsusaka Beef Course” (¥19,000). We started with seasonal cold sake, including “KID” from Wakayama and “Cho Jozan” from Fukui. Both paired wonderfully with the dishes. The appetizer was especially memorable: chilled corn tofu topped with savory dashi jelly, sea urchin, okra, asparagus, and junsai water shield. Smooth, delicate, and beautifully refreshing. The sashimi selection included amberjack, bluefin tuna, and sea bream — all extremely fresh and flavorful. One of the highlights was the deep-fried crab shell. Crispy outside, fluffy and steaming hot inside, packed with rich crab flavor and fish paste. The main event, of course, was the Matsusaka beef steak🔥 The beef is cooked on a blazing hot stone right at the table. The aroma and sizzling sound are unforgettable. Medium rare is highly recommended. The melt-in-your-mouth beef was perfect with rock salt, wasabi soy sauce, or garlic butter. To finish, we enjoyed steamed rice, red miso soup, pickles, and a fun frozen pudding dessert. This is an excellent choice for anniversaries, business dinners, or special occasions. “Awesome Food and service”
We entered a well designed reception and were ushered to our place in front of the live station. Ordered Kobe Beef Meal. consisted of soup, Fresh greens, Scallops with jacket potatoes, The Beef medium rare done so professionally, just so juicy and soft. Never eaten beef of this quality before. The d...elicate way in which the Chef scooped the fat off the beef brought a drool to the mouth. The meal was followed by dessert and tea/coffee. All in all a very satisfying meal at a good price for the excellent quality. Staff were very polite and efficient. Awesome ambience too.

“Service, food and price. Well balanced 5 stars.”
Unique Japanese dishes served at a very reasonable price for the quality. But the most impressive are the staff. They are attentive, professional and wear kimonos. Highly recommended if you want fine food and a modern yet classic Japanese experience.
