We had the course menu, and everything felt very focused on high-quality Japanese ingredients and seasonal flavors. The sashimi was one of the highlights, especially the squid and Shiogama tuna. The shellfish with chrysanthemum was also excellent, the herb added a really nice flavor, and the presen...tation was beautiful, like a piece of art. They even served deep-sea mineral water from Sado, which tasted incredibly fresh and was a memorable detail. The Ishikawa nodoguro was another standout and was probably my favorite dish of the night, it was rich, fatty, and very flavorful. The roasted beef with mushroom sauce was also excellent and gave the course a nice contrast after the seafood dishes. We had Tamashizuku premium daiginjo with the meal, which paired especially well with the fish. Dessert was a roasted hojicha custard, which was smooth, lightly sweet, and had a really nice roasted tea flavor. Overall, this was a beautifully prepared Japanese course meal with excellent seafood, seasonal ingredients, and very thoughtful service. It’s a great choice in Ebisu for a special dinner. They’re also very welcoming to foreigners and non-Japanese speakers, which makes the experience very easy and comfortable. It’s not always easy to find an authentic kaiseki-style restaurant that offers this level of food, service, and atmosphere at this price point.

It was such a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed by the staff as soon as we arrived, and their attentive service continued throughout the evening. The chef was also visible in what felt like an open-kitchen setting, which was a nice touch. We had our meal in a... beautifully designed private room, which made the evening feel comfortable and relaxed. The course we ordered had so many memorable dishes. The clams at the beginning were delicious, while the sashimi was particularly impressive. The squid was a standout because of its unique texture: incredibly tender and almost melted in the mouth. The fish was also exceptionally fresh and of very high quality. The nabe at the end was another favorite of mine. The rice was soft and soaked up the flavorful broth beautifully, while the salmon roe, crab, and eel added even more flavor and texture. Overall, the delicious food, friendly service, beautiful private room, and laid-back atmosphere made this a really memorable evening. It was the kind of place where you could take your time, have a good conversation, and simply enjoy each course without feeling rushed.

I had a reservation for dinner, and it's a short trip from Ebisu station. The entrance isn't as obvious so don't be afraid to poke around, the staff warmly greeted us once we opened the door and then proceeded to guide us to our private room. Although the interactions were in Japanese, the staff we...re accommodating for my party as English speakers, and were professional the entire time, almost immediately coming to our room when called and taking additional requests for drinks. We had a course of meals so didn't choose individual items, however, the staff kindly explained each of the meals. They were all tasty and carefully presented. The highlight for me was the sashimi, especially the squid, and the rice which they mixed beforehand in a bowl. The nodougro was also really delicious and easy to eat, as the staff explained they removed some of the bones for us, which I thought was a nice and intentional gesture. The portions were just right per dish, and had my appetite filled at the end. Before leaving, I had a brief, friendly conversation with the staff about where we were from, what we do for work, etc. They seemed genuinely happy to have foreign guests, so I wouldn't worry if you don't speak much Japanese. For me, it's a hidden gem in Ebisu, definitely recommend to visit for not only authentic Japanese dishes, but also the warm hospitality and experience!

I visited with three friends, and we were seated in a private dining room. The interior was elegant and sophisticated, and the staff gave us a very warm and attentive welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a kaiseki course centered around nodoguro, featuring a variety of ingredients from Niigat...a Prefecture. Every dish was beautifully and thoughtfully presented. Seasonal touches such as autumn leaves and ginkgo leaves were incorporated into the presentation, making each course as visually enjoyable as it was delicious. One of the highlights for me was the amadai sashimi. It had such a rich, concentrated flavor that I can honestly say it was some of the best sashimi I have ever had. It paired exceptionally well with sake. The nodoguro was another highlight. It was so tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of richness. I’ve had nodoguro before, but this was easily one of the best I’ve ever tried. Definitely a must-try if you visit! Another favorite was the clay-pot rice served toward the end of the course. It was generously topped with ikura, crab, and nodoguro, making it feel incredibly rich and indulgent. We could even ask for seconds, which was a nice bonus! The drink selection was also outstanding, with more than 60 options in total, including around 40 varieties of sake. The dishes throughout the kaiseki course pair beautifully with sake, so I would highly recommend trying some with your meal. I am not particularly knowledgeable about sake myself, but the staff were very helpful in recommending different options based on the dishes and my preferences, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The non-alcoholic selection was just as impressive. One of my friends does not drink alcohol, but there were plenty of interesting options to choose from, including non-alcoholic sparkling wine and homemade lemonade. Even if you do not drink, you will definitely have plenty to enjoy here. From the quality and presentation of the food to the drink selection and the hospitality of the staff, everything exceeded our expectations. I would especially recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience authentic Japanese cuisine. The seasonal ingredients, traditional kaiseki style, beautiful presentation, and excellent selection of sake come together to offer a wonderful taste of Japanese food culture. A truly memorable experience and a restaurant I would happily recommend for a special occasion, a meal with someone important to you, or for anyone visiting Japan who wants to enjoy an authentic Japanese dining experience.

good place to bring a larger crowd as some of the tables are large and spread out. noisy but not too noisy. food was excellent - the grilled fish and rare steak particularly. vegetable dishes lightly friend were good as was the classic salad. all in all a good new find in the ebisu area
