Recommended by my hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect. A small, typical Japanese restaurant, sit at the "bar" and watch the chef prepare the food. I went for the "Kobe" beef, because I wanted to try it. I had the 5 course "Kobe" course menu, everything on it was superb, it was expensive, but worth e...very penny. It was so good, I ordered more food afterwards and tried the grade A5 Wagyu, to compare it to the "kobe". I actually preferred the Wagyu, but I think that maybe because he had to quickly thaw out the Kobe beef, because he wasn't expecting to sell any. I loved the food, I loved the place, the chef was very competent. Would certainly go again.

We found Grow recommended on the local restaurant directory and weren’t disappointed. The private room seats four very comfortably and the service is very good through a hatchway from the main kitchen bar area. The food is excellent and the Kobe beef is a real highlight. We selected the set menu (JP...Y7,000 per person), which includes 7 courses - various appetisers, a fish course and of course the steak course. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a great steak dinner in the Kyoto area.

Easy access from station. Kobe beef was sooo sweet and soft, was sooo nice. The restaurant is very new and comfortable. I found really good place. Highly recommended!!
