I haven’t eaten here so far (though I was planning to in the future). Just dropped in for a night cap with my partner. Had a lovely time, but the evening was partly ruined by the fact that I had to pay the JPY 4,000 in cash, as credit cards are accepted only from JPY 10,000 upwards. I just can’t com...prehend why in the 21st century a reputable restaurant like this would still insist on cash payment for any amounts up to JPY 10,000.

Great food, great service, great price and value. They have wine pairing and course menu with band ambassadors a few times a year which makes for a great night!

Visited Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnaise for lunch in January 2020. This restaurant is located in Kagurazaka, away from hustling and bustling downtown Shinjuku. Very peaceful neighborhood. We sat on the first floor. More typical bistro type atmosphere. The second floor is more casual atmosphere. We c...hose express lunch option, salad and main dish. Both sea bass and pork dishes were excellent! A typical Lyonnaise Bouchon style restaurant. Michelin one star. Highly recommend. Cash payment only for less than 10,000 yen.

What a wonderful meal. From the delectably rich foie gras pate with thick, buttered Brioche toast point, to the delicious escargot appetizer, to the perfectly-cooked lobster, to the blood sausage with potato puree, to the sublime fig tart with a wonderful ice cream for dessert (was it cardamon ice ...cream? I'm forgetting--but I do recall that it was wonderful.). The service was exceptional, as well. Rarely does a waiter describe food in with such care and attention to detail both when taking the order and when serving.
