新宿 鮨 栞庵 やましろ 東口

I went to this place yesterday for dinner and it was great. To begin with, this place is actually very easy to miss, especially if you are a tourist and don't look up and read build boards... it's very easy to do in Kabukicho😉. The restaurant is located on the 5th floor and from the moment you get... out of the elevator you will be greeted with a warm welcome from a staff member. I would recommend to make reservations a few days in advance, this place can be very busy, especially on weekends; but you should try it anyway, I was lucky and got in without any reservations. The restaurant itself is very clean and made in a traditional Japanese style. Guests have their own private rooms, so don't worry about sharing awkward eye contact with a random person. The whole private room experience feels very individual. The menu is in Japanese, but has some English translations. The food was excellent. I had beef sushi, steak salad, appetizer that looks like a boat and shabu-shabu with wagyu beef, and a small besert at the end. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had in Japan. It's on the expensive side, but worth every penny. Highly recommend!!!
