After a family/friend’s night out I paid the the bill of (Yen 60,400)…good job we had kept the receipts, on checking our credit card account we found that they had charged me (Yen 120,800) double the amount. I have tried to contact the Hobgoblin but no response, this is now in the hands of Lloyds fr...aud department who are investigating.

I was out in Tokyo around 2010 and found the Hobgoblin after recommendations from other Brits I met, close to New Year time. Food was plentiful, drink was good - my first time tasting Japanese malt. Really enjoyed the place, was there most nights for dinner. Sam was there working the bar most nights..., giving a friendly face that spoke english, to someone sailing solo in the city. I think the owner was from Greenock originally (just up the road from me), but he was holidaying back home while I was out there, however it was a great place to meet other travellers. Can't recommend enough. looking forward to another visit when I get a chance.

It's a very nice place, where you want to stay, the staff is very welcoming, the beer is excellent and the food is perfect for having a good time watching a match!

What a great find in heart of Tokyo, Roppongi district. Walked in to this British style pub and asked to watch an AFL match (Swans v Carlton) and without fuss fhe waiter aired it on two screens. Placed us at a table with excellent views. Ordered meals (beef nachos and shepherds pie), beer and sat co...mfortable for the night to watch the game. Meals were 10/10, service 10/10 (table service), venue (10/10). Also ordered the apple pie with ice cream which was also a 10/10! Fair prices and clean venue. All English speaking staff and mostly expats as customers. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious. The apple pie was amazing. The drinks were cheaper than normal. The staff were fantastic. We watched the NRL footy there and the waitress was so obliging and she charged my phone behind the counter
