RAMA

The restaurant is located a little off the beaten track. We came by Metro and it was a 10-minute walk from Hiro-o Station. When you turn into the street, the restaurant is situated in an understated building in a side street under what appears to be an overhead road. Do not let this put you off at a...ll. Once you get there, you will find the environment a delight. Chef Aoki and his associate work wonders in their tiny kitchen with all 10 diners lined along the bar watching the action. The menu changes seasonally and uses quality ingredients. They are there to challenge and delight your pallet and they did this all evening. Alcohol is available and Aoki-san made pairing suggestions for each course. Both chefs took turns at presenting and describing the dishes and were discreet and entertaining at the same time. I have not had a better meal ever at this price point. As noted above, Rama has only 10 seats, so if you are coming to Tokyo, please make sure you have a reservation. Book ahead. When I am next in Tokyo I will make a booking at Rama again.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Highly recommend this restaurant for a fabulous night out. The food was outstanding and Chef Aoki was a master in the kitchen. My family all had a fantastic time, our best meal in Tokyo.

This tiny restaurant in an unassuming building in a suburban side street was an absolute delight. The two young chefs working in a tiny kitchen, with only 10 diners lined along the bar, do an amazing job. All courses were creative and delicious, especially the truffled pasta dish. A variety of wines... can be purchased by the glass. Aoki was an entertaining and warm and generous host. I think this represented excellent value for money, and I would have no hesitation to return.
