I've been to the Ichiran branch in NYC many years ago and it probably was not good because I never went back. (My favorites in NYC are Ivan Ramen and Totto Ramen). I don't know what I was thinking to join the line in Tokyo and waste 30 minutes waiting. I was influenced by all the hype and perhaps h...oped that the original one was better. Nope. It was average. The broth was milky, not rich nor flavorful and the chashu had very little fat and tasteless. However, it was cheap, filling and quelled my hunger. Also, the Japanese guy manning the line was very kind. If the line is not too long, go see for yourself and have the experience but there are loads of unknown to tourist ones that locals go to and are better.

Interesting experience if you want a quick in and out meal on your own. However for us there was about a 45 minute wait to get in because it’s very popular. Food was excellent. Not much ambiance and not very conducive to being social with whoever you’re with.

A cute spot to eat and the ramen was so good! Although the wait time was around 45 minutes but if you have the time i’d recommend it

My buddy and I came in after a LONG day of getting some painful tattoos, so we needed this meal BAD. We were both in pain and out of it since we just got stabbed thousands of times with a tiny little needle, but Ichiran was there to ease the pain. I'M MAKIN A CHANGE TODAY, ICHIRAN TAKING THE PAIN A...WAY! I tried so many different types of ramen when I was in Japan, but Ichiran was absolutely my favorite. I know it's a chain in Japan, but I cant lie to the good people. It was ELITE! Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

We were looking for a great ramen and this exceeded both our expectations. Highly recommended. Stick to the recommended options when selecting your soup, they were perfect!
