“Quick coffee break.”
This was the best coffee we've enjoyed after a week in Japan. We arrived midmorning and weren't interested in food. The upper seating area has limited views of the river but we enjoyed the less modern layout and a cooling breeze. The better views are from the enclosed smoking area. Cash only.

“Quick snack off of the beaten path ”
Came in looking for a quick meal. We were treated to a relaxing meal with a great view. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality.

“Great View....Awful Coffee”
Agree with other reviews that this is a lovely location and cute cafe BUT....the coffee is simply terrible (esp if you are from Australia).

“Lovely little cafe”
Tucked away from the bustle of the main streets in Hakone. European food with a twist. Fantastic calming atmosphere, helpful staff, fast service. Tasty food.

“Good food & quiet place to sit”
Just off the beaten track next to the river, exit the rail station and head down the stairs, turn right and 30m on the right. Good sandwiches & drink @ ¥1000. Food came quickly and both hot dogs were dispatched like greyhounds at raceway.
