Timuny．（ティムニー）

My wife and I stopped in here the first week of May 2026 around noon. We order a cafe au lait, a chai tea, some chips and salsa, a Reuben sandwich, and an asparagus and bacon sandwich. The coffee and chai tea were terrible. The milk in the coffee had old stringy milk skin floating in it that refused... to dissolve, the chai tea had zero taste. We watched the women pour about 2 tablespoons of salsa out from a store jar that was almost empty, my Reuben sandwich had one small strip of 1" x 1" meat on it and the bread was soggy because it was drowned in thousand island dressing. My wife's asparagus sandwich consisted of one piece of old withered asparagus, a small scrap of bacon and was smothered in some kind of spaghetti sauce. It gave her indigestion. And all this wasn't cheap. Worst meal in Japan on a 3 week vacation.

This was the best coffee we've enjoyed after a week in Japan. We arrived midmorning and weren't interested in food. The upper seating area has limited views of the river but we enjoyed the less modern layout and a cooling breeze. The better views are from the enclosed smoking area. Cash only.

Came in looking for a quick meal. We were treated to a relaxing meal with a great view. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality.

Agree with other reviews that this is a lovely location and cute cafe BUT....the coffee is simply terrible (esp if you are from Australia).

Tucked away from the bustle of the main streets in Hakone. European food with a twist. Fantastic calming atmosphere, helpful staff, fast service. Tasty food.
