串焼処 佐五右衛門 別邸

Kushiyaki Dokoro, Shibuya Didn't want carbs anymore so went into an izakaya randomly. Luckily I'm alone so they could still squeeze me in at the counter seat, everyone else that came after me had a reservation. Another small operation, with 1 on the grill, 1 on beverages, 1 on the other misc food ...they offer. They served an appetiser soup which was lovely. This would be really hearty on a cold day. Cream soup much like clam chowder but instead of clams, you have strips of ham. The only issue was, they didn't say this was chargeable when it was served, I only realized later in the bill. Ok for me as I enjoyed it, but imagine someone who doesn't like cream soup, having to pay for it will be double upsetting. Then my orders came progressively, faster than I expected. The first skewer of pork belly was undercooked and the chef replaced it immediately when I raised it to him. Benefit of being right in front him I guess. The chicken was as it should be. The highlight was the Wagyu Beef that was amazingly tender, cooked to perfection.
