If you want a genuine Robatashi experience this is place is excellent. The food is superb and the staff and atmosphere are great. Their speciality is whole bbq fish which is cooked in front of you. The potato salad is amazing and I have never eaten such great eggplant/aubergine! They have an Englis...h menu but it doesn’t include everything that they have (like the potato salad) so look at what’s on display in front of you and what others are eating and just ask if you want something else. The staff spoke enough English for us to communicate and their website has an English version and booking engine. It is a traditional Japanese restaurant (shoes off and low seating) but that just adds to the experience. The two seats immediately adjacent to the BBQ do get very hot but they were happy to move us a little further away when we asked.

My partner and I visited this place while on vacation. We had made a reservation, which was already a challenge in itself. The portions were extremely small, and the food seemed like a mere imitation of European cuisine. Unfortunately, the service couldn't understand what we were saying. Unlike many... other Japanese people who, despite not speaking English, can still manage to communicate, this staff struggled. In the end, they added around 1980 Yen to our bill, and we couldn’t understand why. We asked for an explanation, and only after insisting was the charge removed. It's a shame. The experience was rather unsatisfactory, especially since we had to wait a long time as well.

A fun, local, small Japanese restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food cooked on grills as we sat around the bar and Watched. . Kinki fish cooked whole on the grill along with asparagus and mushrooms. The potato salad was good too We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

This was a great experience. Came the first night in Tokyo. Friendly lively atmosphere. welcoming staff. The food was great. Try the kinky Fish. You watch them cook and prepare in front of you. All you can drink was a bit misleading, they would politely move the bottle away from us after several sh...ots and bring another one. Tried five types of sake. One of the best experiences of our trip. You get to try a range of food as most places are specialized. Must go

A lively kitchen with a hard-working grill. Cosy tables with sunken seating (shoes off) and very helpful staff. The very popular potato salad is a must; the grilled fish was fresh, succulent and sweet; the pudding (crème brûlée) had a decent caramelised top; in fact all the dishes were excellent.
