“Needs a real big spruce up”

This is a little izakaya that does all kinds of food, not only yakitori. The yakitori is passable. But the place needs a real reno. It reeked of stale oil mixed with cigarette smoke. At 8 pm, there were only 5 patrons including us and 5 staff. Although one could say there ll be a late night crowd b...ut other popular izakayas I ve been to in other parts of japan are crowded after 7 pm.
