We are staying at the ANA Crowne Plaza Kushiro which is right next to this restaurant, so we decided to walk over and have dinner. We were not disappointed. It was an interesting experience as we had to BBQ our own food at the charcoal grill that is built into the table in front of us First you h...ad to order what you wanted from an iPad- which had several language options: Japanese, English and Chinese. Once you’re done hit the submit button and not too long, the food (raw) will be delivered to the table. That’s when the fun starts to BBQ your food The seafood was very fresh and the salmon stomach was absolutely delicious We enjoyed the experience and the meal

Despite good reviews, from our recent experience, we will not recommend this restaurant. Not value for money, the portion is small, prawns are not fresh, as if the prawns been thaw and refrozen and serve to us the next day.

Robatayaki (flame grilled seafood and vegetables) at Renga restaurant in Kushiro, Hokkaido. This restaurant is highly recommended for (1) atmosphere, (2) larger than usual personal space (perhaps Hokkaido regional cities have more space), (3) great service, and (4) reasonable price. Had herring, sal...mon (caught this morning), oyster, mixed vegetables and plum sour drink. Located in central part of Kushiro.

Our group of 16 Aussies very much enjoyed our BBQ self cook meal here for dinner. The seafood was very fresh. Not sure about value for money because the all you could eat deal was included in our package; but I certainly did not leave hungry. The place was fairly quiet in mid Feb and certainly the s...moke from the cooking food could be an issue if all of the tables were in use. Friendly helpful staff.

We were staying at the Crowne Plaza which is next door. We got there about 6.30 pm on a Wednesday night and got seats straight away at the back. We pushed out the boat and had the 5100 yen set and that is definitely more than enough fish seafood and veg for two. And it all tasted good. We didn't fin...d it too smokey where we were ( although our jackets smelled of smoke when we got back to the hotel room). The place filled up very quickly and when we left about 90 minutes later people were queueing and the front of the restaurant was filled with smoke. All in all good fun but don't arrive to late or you ll need a gas mask.
