RESTAURANT RITA´S KITCHEN

We visited recently and enjoyed a quality Fish n Chips meal. Very good. The restaurant is not high end and is convenient if you’re visiting the Nikki Distillery or tasting. The management are full in with safety measures so that can operate during the COVID-19 times. Well done.

We are a family of five, including a two year old, and decided to have lunch here as part of our visit to the distillery. We were made to feel very welcome, and a high chair was provided. The menu is available in English, and you can eat either tradilitionally prepared food or more Western cuisine. ...I was given very helpful English advice on how to approach my Japanese choice - a very thoughtful touch. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and we highly recommend eating here.

After finishing our exploration of the Nikka Whisky Distillery we had lunch at the restaurant Taru which is next to the Distillery shop. Staff are welcoming and professional and they have an English menu, which offers both Japanese and English / Scottish food, as well as some whisky tasting options... if you are interested. I had a beautifully presented and tasting Scottish broth (flavour was spot on) served with a small salad, roll and butter, and my husband had a Japanese curry which he reports was also tasty. The whole experience was first rate, and the menu is surprisingly inexpensive given both the location, the quality of the food, and the level of service from staff. Highly recommended if you visit the Distillery and are looking for a good quality food and service.

We were hungry after visiting the Nikka distillery and as it was pouring down, we decided to eat in the on-site restaurant. We did not have high expectations but it turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was really very good. There was a nice choice of set menus at very reasonable prices, bo...th Japanese and more international dishes. Even our picky 10 year old found something to his liking. The portions are generous to say the least. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant is on the Nikka Whisky Distillery grounds making it a very convenient stop. The prices are reasonable for a set menu and service is excellent. If the restaurant is quiet you are escorted in and offered the chance to select your own seat. They do have menus in the English language as ...well as pictures giving greater detail of what the food is. Overall I enjoyed some great Japanese sushi, miso soup and beer. It was a great meal in a bright clean and modern Japanese style restaurant.
