I had yakiniku here, and the Kinkaku Course was ¥8,800 — absolutely delicious! The meat was juicy, tender, and premium quality. If you come to Kyoto, you have to try this place. I’ll definitely come again!

It started with a flavorful appetizer, then my favorite—beef tongue paired with rice. Such a perfect combo: juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I had an outstanding dining experience here. Every dish was prepared fresh, using carefully selected meats, vegetables, and other ingredients that you can genuinely taste in every bite. The atmosphere feels wonderfully homey, making it an ideal stop when visiting Kyoto—especially during Hanami seaso...n. The service was excellent, the space spotless, and the food crafted with real care. I highly recommend pairing Kyoto‑grown rice with their Kobe A5 beef sukiyaki; it’s a combination that truly stands out. My friend and I loved the food here! We had the Kinkaku course meal- a satisfying deal with premium meat, vegetable side dishes, and dessert. I tried their recommended matcha beer- literally pouring whisked matcha into beer. It was an unexpectedly refreshing combo. Undoubtedly, the meat was the st...ar- A5 Kobe wagyu beef, the best quality. We had premium cuts for grilling, including a dramatic, smoky plate of beef tongue. We also had savory yukhoe with egg yolk. We had sukiyaki, too. It was paired with freshly cooked rice from Hachidaimei Gihei, a famous Kyoto rice producer. Meals are truly special when the ingredients are carefully selected locally. The tender beef and rice were unforgettably delicious. I still think about it! Lastly, we had a jelly dessert that we pushed through a bamboo gadget by ourselves. It was fun to make and to eat! The matcha sauce had a wonderful aroma that was unmistakably Kyoto- simple and elegant. We visited last weekend and we loved the whole atmosphere- cherry blossom trees outside and a garden inside the restaurant. This restaurant was lovely and I enjoyed every part of our lunch course. The service was warm and attentive, too. I'd love to go back the next time I'm in Kyoto!
