“恥ずかしいシーフード丼”
I had the saddest seafood don (2530 Yen) in my life, what a disappointing end of my 3 weeks trip in Japan. Apparently the chef likes to reserve the tiniest and chewiest fish pieces for tourists like us. And the real seafood is only 30% of the toppings. Might as well change the name to cucumber and ...ginger bowl. Besides that, the chef was staring at us aggressively the whole time from the moment we sat down! I guess he doesn't like foreign looking people😅 so much? Really shameful behaviour and this ruined my memory of Japan.

“The best sushi chef!”
Last meal before making the journey to the airport. I stumbled across this place in the massive shopping centre. The sushi was good with lovely staff. What made it the best sushi place for me is the sushi chef coming over and saying how impressed he was with my chop stick skills! What made this fee...l genuine was he came over as I had just left the restaurant with a staff member that could speak a tiny bit of English

“Excellent restaurant”
The restaurant is located above the Isetan shopping mall in Osaka and offers sereval small tabels for two or four and severa places at the bar, next to the chefs who prepare the meal in front of you. The atmoshpere is nice, the staff is friendly and ready to help even though their English is not ver...y good. The choice is large and includes most of the things one can imagine when looking for sushi, sashimi or maki. Everything we ate was excellent, served with the traditional mizo soup, the beer too was very good. The price of a dinner for two is really reasonable. I am strongly recommending this restaurant.

“Pricey sushi, still fresh & delicious but expensive ”
The last 3 trips to Osaka, I have eaten here - mainly through convenience because it's in the department store on the 10th floor directly above JR Osaka Station. This time however I enlisted the help of Yelp which is widely used in Japan and found much better alternatives for sushi at half the pric...e, albeit in a different area of Osaka. They serve sushi by single units and just to give an idea, the medium fatty tuna (generally more pricey) goes for¥548, around that price per piece. I can't even remember if that is pre-tax... The sushi is certainly fresh and delicious but I would definitely choose alternative options now for a better price.
