Fantastic Kaiseki meal! Me and my wife had the 10 course taster menu, which was delicious. They were very accommodating for our ten year old daughter who could choose from the a’ lacarte menu. Great waiters. Excellent service. After a terrible experience at Daia Kobe Beef in Asakusa Tokyo, where the...y over charged us, £150 for a sh!t bit of steak (avoid this place at all costs) this meal was just what we needed.

Stunningly beautiful Japanese restaurant in the Gion district. Food, service, aesthetics stunning. One of the best dining experiences we have had on our trip, so far.

Absolutely delicious omakase dinner for our family of 12. We were seated in a private room upstairs. The food was amazing, about 9 courses, each one artistic and gourmet (sashimi, wagyu, mackerel, local noodles, peaches, watermelon, and so many other dishes). It was a meal to celebrate our final nig...ht on this Japan trip, and it lived up to expectations. It also happens to be on a charming side street in Gion.

This is probably a good restaurant where we had an off night. You sit at a counter very close to the chef which is always fun. Our first course of sashimi was excellent, but then the chef got busy and completely forgot us. We watched everyone else at the counter getting served while we sat for 45 mi...nutes without food. The servers seemed young and inexperienced, not the quality that the chef deserved, and obviously the source of the mixup. Good food but the night was disappointing

Hands down our favorite meal in Japan. It’s a really cute restaurant to begin with. Shoes off, sitting on the floor, quaint little spot. They welcomed us (and two kids) kindly. We hadn’t looked at the menu thoroughly so just ordered a random assortment of things and they were all phenomenal. I’m sur...e the tasting menu options are excellent if that’s what randomly picking things got us! This would be a must reserve upon a return trip to Kyoto.
