“Teppanyaki style steakhouse ”
This is a smaller higher-end, teppanyaki-style steakhouse. This is a small national chain. However, you will see the name "Beefsteak no Kawamura" instead of "Bifteck Kawamura". According to our chef, they did the Japanese phonetic transliteration when the restaurant was established, thus creating ...this unique nomenclature. They also have dynamic menu pricing. The Ginza, Roppongi, Kita-Shinchi, and other premium locations receive higher grade (award-winning) cuts of beef, which command a higher price point. This Nishinomiya location is out of the way. Not easy to get to using the train network. Caters primarily to local patrons. It has a decent-sized, onsite parking lot. The chef mentioned that they usually confirm when foreigners call to make a reservation that they are calling the correct location. This chain boasts of using ONLY Kobe-branded beef. Pricing is average for this type of steak house. Look at about ¥20,000 per person for about 160 g cut. You get a personal chef, who cooks your steak to your liking, right in front of you. Your meal includes salad, soup, grilled vegetables, fried garlic rice, dessert, and coffee with the choice of steak. You can decide on lower grades if pricing is an issue. We have been to a few restaurants like this in the region. What we liked about this place were the personal small cooktops. In many similar places, you need to share the chef with other patrons. This place has 3 smaller tables for groups of less than 4 persons. There are many that are loyal to the brand or they have to try "Kobe beef". With Kobe beef, there are very few misses. Our meal was very good. My cut was cooked exactly as I wished. It was tasty!!!! No complaints. The other menu items were fine. Nothing spectacular or outstanding. Personally, I found the sides are probably due for an update. Would we go again? I would want to try one of their premium locations the next time. Try some of their award-winning Kobe beef. I also would want to go to a location where driving wasn't necessary. That being said, we would not object to going again if we were in the area.

“Beef like no other”
Had lunch with the family at this restaurant. Kobe beef is really as good as people say it is ... melt in your mouth good. We had children so we got them the Kobe beef burger. You don't just come here for the food, you come for the dining experience. A bit pricey, but hey, you gotta enjoy when you o...n vacation.

“Over the top supurb”
I was a guest that evening so I can't tell you how much the meal cost but I can tell you that if you are in Kobe, whatever the cost - just do it. You are not just paying for a meal you are paying for dining experience --- privacy, personal attention, personal chef, aesthetic nature of the food prepa...ration, entertainment by the talkative chef (ask for Goto Hiroaki) and the fascination of watching your fabulous meal being cook right in front of you. BUT what tops all that, is the BEEF's flavour and its melt on your tongue texture. Be sure to order a generous amount - you won't get full

“Amazing Food but Pricy”
Went to this restaurant for my birthday with my girlfriend. The food was great and our chef was really nice and fun. Showed us some tricks while cooking in front of us. The Kobe beef was awesome..but it does come with its price. But if you haven't tried it, I recommend giving it a try. Definitely wi...ll go back.

“Tepanyaki and Kobe beef wow”
Really liked this kind of tepanyaki. Unlike most places in north america its not a chow but rather your private chef. The beef is extraordinary and when you select their champion female kobe beef your in for a treat. I have to say the 100 grams is my limit because the meat is so rich. If you don't l...ike to have that butter feel in your mouth choose lower grades. Really like it and service was good and helpful even with their very limited english and my non existent Japanese. Worth the experience but high ticket price!
