A very nice and welcoming place. It does not have many seats but the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sushi and sashimi of excellent quality and delicious.

Shigetomi is an absolute must for a more intimate dining experience in Kyoto!! My sister and I stumbled upon this spot during a quick trip to Kyoto. The two owners were beyond welcoming and kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. The yuzu sake & baked salmon gills were two of the highlights of ...our meal, both of which they had suggested we try. Cannot recommend this place enough, because of the wonderful food, but especially for the generous hospitality of the owners.

Amazing sushi for the value. Fatty tuna and uni on point. Service was great. Long time chef/owner. Ordered a ton of nigiri, sashimi, and Kyoto sake.

Just enjoyed a superb meal here. Incredible hospitality from the restaurant owners who welcomed us in and served us a delicious (oishi) array of sushi. We left our shoes at the door and dived into sushi heaven. Along with Kyoto Sake of course. Highly recommend!
