海千山千 番長 裏難波店

This restaurant was decided well for group gathering. Small round bar table couldn't fit much food on top. When we arrived, the restaurant was full and air circulation wasn't that great! The food were served in all kind with what you could think of. Oyster, clams and scallop were all very fresh. Ab...alone was overpriced for its quality. Pickles were quite tasty. Japanese beef was in good quality but small quantity for its price. I asked for the bill and the end. The restaurant only provided a sub-total without any breakdown. It was a bit tricky. I wouldn't say that this restaurant was no good. However price point was a bit overkill for us.

The place was casual and busy and fun but the food and service were below average. We had Caesar salad which was not good, mixed 5-kind sashimi which looked sad, giant clam which was good, oysters which were average, tiger prawns which were tasteless, grilled chicken which was fine, and grilled Wagy...u beef which was tender but not very flavorful. The place was too busy for their service to be attentive....we had to ask a few times for basic things likes plates and utensils. There are so many good restaurants in Osaka I wouldn't bother with this one.

Went there to eat wagyu beef and giant clam. They have a charcoal grill on a round table and the ambiance is great for a beer drinking and tapas eating. The wagyu beef was super tender and the giant clam was very tasty. We spent a short time there as we had eaten at two other places prior to there, ...however, I really needed to try that giant clam and wagyu beef. Will definitely go back there when I am in Osaka.
