大衆すき焼き 北斗 GEMSなんば店

Dinner on 28th April: we booked 2 months in advance to be sure to get a table since it was very well rated by the TA community. It’s a Sukiyaki-style restaurant, offering decent formula depending on appetite and type of meat (wagyu, beef sirloin…). The original cooking in the middle of the table o...bviously makes the dinner lively, also heating up the atmosphere a bit chilled by the powerful air conditioning. We opted for the “luxury set” (not the biggest one) at c. JPY2,800, with some sides (2 portions of kimchi, 2 portions of medium rice, 1 pickled cucumber and … 3 portions of French fries :)). Meat portions were decent: We are good eaters and did not need to re-order any more meat. The meal was really good, sides included and there was not faulty realization: tender/juicy wagyu (which gives “fatty flavours” to the onions and tofu, while simmering) and delicious kimchi. There is no wine by the bottle but a choice of red and white by the glass. Nothing great but that does the job. Service, while courteous and smiling, was erratic and a bit clumsy in some respects. We were notably missing an important part of the meal (eggs) and realized it when we were closed to the end: raw eggs are put in a bowl and when the meat is cooked, you are supposed to dip into it. While it did not alter our dinner and while we also received countless apologies, it was a bit of a pity. The final bill ended up just below 20,000 JPY, which is a good value meal overall, especially considering the location, the decoration/atmosphere and the outside view, if you are lucky enough to have a table by the window. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful dinner at Hokuto Namba. We tried their yakiniku, mt. Fuji seared sushi and fried chicken, everything was really delicious and packed with umami! The employees are super friendly and helpful too! If you're looking to try great Yakiniku when in Osaka, this restaurant is really recom...mended!

We had a really great meal at this place. We started with the Mt. FUJI seared sushi, followed by the Sukiyaki Black Wagyu Beef Belly & Awa Kuro beef with some rice and closed it off with some delicious fried chicken. The team is extremely friendly and is very helpful!

the beef is super good and tender we ate sukiyaki and the best restaurant we tried here in osaka always a clean plate when we dine here it is near the shops so it is very convenient after shopping

Food was yummy! Restaurant’s ambience was nice. Staff were so friendly and helpful to us, despite the language barrier!
