We really enjoyed our experience at Sukiyaki Hokuto in Namba. The restaurant was very close to our hotel and came recommended by the staff, which made it an easy choice for dinner. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the wonderful sweet aroma of the sukiyaki sauce. The staff were helpful in... explaining the menu and how to prepare everything. Since sukiyaki is usually made with beef, we really appreciated that they also offered a chicken option, as one of us does not eat red meat. That was a major plus for us. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. You could tell that the other guests were enjoying their meals too, which added to the experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would happily visit again.

Imagine our surprise to learn we were cooking our own food at the table. Admittedly maybe I should have known, or figured it out, when I was looking at places to make a reservation. However, we rolled in with no idea. After we got past the surprise, we had a fantastic and fun dinner learning how to ...make the sukiyaki. Everything was delicious and we would definitely recommend to others.

The sukiyaki omi beef is so yummy. It's succulent, meaty and rich, sweet and full of umami. It was a good lunch. Highly recommended!

We ordered the Awa Black Beed Sirloin and it was so very delicious…value for money. The staff are very nice and helpful to foreigners, too. Will be back again when in Osaka.
