IOf you want shabu shabu in Kobe, this a great place at a very affordable price. It is located on the 4th floor of the Mosiac shopping mall in Harborland. It is all you can eat of pork, beef, chicken in to 2 different broths of your choice from from four. Just press the button at your table and t...hey come right away. Tell them what kind of meats you want and how many. The vegetables are at the buffet table where you plate what you want to bring back to the table. Same with drinks and there is soft serve ice cream machine for dessert. We come to this place when we go to kobe.

The place is actually in Mosaic not Umie (same area). We saw tabehodai (AYCE) but had dinner plans so wanted something light. This was not light but we didn't do the deluxe package. There was so many versions, one with Japanese and not Austrailian fat, one with Kobe beef and another option with AYC...E sushi and dessert and drink. If we didn't have dinner plans might have gone with the Sushi option as only like 400 Yen more Lunch was 1790 Yen adults and 970 Yen for kids under 12 for basic of shabu shabu. That was fine with us and we had 90 min to down it. More than enough time. The place is large and nicely decored with high ceiling so not full of smoke or steam. You first have choice of 2 soup bases (we went for Sukiyaki base and reg dashi broth. The veggies are to your picking. Noodle and rice and furekake was there too. Enoki, Cabbage, Leeks, Udon, etc... all there for your taking. The meat came and would continue if you finish - order more. We tried to eat the beef but it was like 60% fat so after trying separate it after a few plates we gave up and just ate slice pork which was not fatty. (just as bad or worst than eating bacon - but japanese don't mind) Also had chicken leg meat.... just take skin off and your fine. I liked the Chicken Tsukune in a bamboo which was at the veggie section. So if you eat Pork/Tsukune/Chicken and veggies it's ok esp for the price. There is egg/ponz for dipping and a sesame sauce for dipping. Stuffed ourselve enough to take a nice walk around harborland and back to Sannomiya via Motomachi. It was ok for what it was. Had better beef elsewhere but i guess it was ok considering you would have to spend at least 1000 to 1200 Yen for a lunch set around there. Not sure how much dinner was but prob under 3000 Yen for cheapest option. and little more if you get all you can drink YOU WON"T GO HUNGRY oh yeah they take credit card so was a savor as we were running low on cash in this CASH SOCIETY

Decent place for Japanese style hot pot. There are different prices for different buffet options (beef / sushi / crab...). They have English menu. Some waiters / waitresses speak English. You can eat all you want but there is a sitting time limit of 90 mins. They will tell you when time’s out. It’s ...quite good place to eat if you want to try shabu shabu and you are around in Harborland area

This is a shabu shabu style restaurant. They will ask you first if you would like to have sushi and / or kobe beef included. If not then you will just pay for the regular buffet. The Drinks bar is also an additional payment. They will ask you to place your orders of sushi and the for the type of bro...th you prefer. I prefer the sukiyaki option. They will then bring the beef strips and you can add veggies, tofu, noodles as you wished. They will also bring out fresh eggs that you can either use as a dipping sauce or add in the broth. They will give you two hours to enjoy the buffet and if course you can re order as much as your stomach can handle.
