I went in the middle of the week with a friend around 5pm and the timing was perfect. It's an intimate space that easily accomodates small groups. They even have private rooms for groups. The food was great and the staff was attentive. They also speak English. I recommend this place for anyone wan...ting to try Japanese food without breaking the bank.

I went to Tonton with a friend for dinner. We had the all-you-can-eat Black Wagyu sukiyaki course for 7,500 JPY. It was 90 minutes of unlimited refills of premium beef, pork, vegetables, meatballs, rice, and eggs for dipping. It was such a great deal for a reasonable price! The A5 loin was as delici...ous as it was gorgeous. We left so full and satisfied. Tip: this same course is available for lunch for 5,800 JPY. I think it's a smart idea to have this big meal at midday. The basic wagyu lunch course (without the A5 loin) is actually just 3,800 JPY. Maybe I'll try that next time! Tonton's staff were friendly and attentive and the vibe was relaxed. Ordering was easy through QR code. They have counter seats for two, tables for groups, and private rooms that have a more traditional feel. The store is a short walk from Shinsaibashi station in Osaka Metro.

First, the Wagyu marbling was perfect and gave a truly melt-in-the-mouth experience. Second, the pork was also very tasty and the assorted fresh vegetables added more flavors. Third, the unlimited indulgence allowed us to savor as many Wagyu as we desired. The finishing Yuzu sorbet was an icing on t...he cake too. Lastly, the staff were super attentive and frequently checked the sukiyaki soup amount for refill without needing to ask for it. This was one of the best dinners savoring great food in Shinsaibashi for only ¥7500.

After a long day of shopping around Shinsaibashi, we decided to treat ourselves to an all-you-can-eat sukiyaki dinner at Sukiyaki Shabu-shabu Tonton Shinsaibashi. Honestly, it was such a satisfying experience. We tried the Black Wagyu (Kuroge) Premium Loin SUKIYAKI course (¥7,500 per person), and f...or the quality and quantity we got, it felt worth it. First, the location is super convenient. It’s very close to Shinsaibashi Station and Shinsaibashi shopping district, making it a perfect stop after exploring the area. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor and there’s an elevator available, which is helpful especially if you’re tired from walking all day. Inside, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. They have private rooms for those who want a quieter dining experience, but also counter and regular table seating for casual visits. The staff immediately greeted us warmly upon arrival, and the service stayed consistently excellent throughout the night. Even though we visited on a busy Friday dinner time, our orders arrived surprisingly fast. You can order conveniently through a QR code system, but what I appreciated most was that they already served assorted meat platters as starters while we were still deciding what else to order. Considering how extensive the menu choices are, this was actually very thoughtful and convenient. Before ordering, you’ll be asked whether you prefer sukiyaki or shabu-shabu. My friend and I chose sukiyaki, and the broth was exactly how we like it. It was sweet, savory, rich, and comforting without being overwhelming. For the highlight, the meat quality was genuinely impressive. Both the pork and beef were incredibly tender, juicy, and soft to the point that it became difficult to distinguish them just by texture alone. Every bite felt premium and effortless to chew. The vegetables were also very fresh, the kimchi had a really addictive flavor, and the boiled gyoza completely surprised me. It was super juicy, meaty, and honestly one of the standout side dishes of the meal. The restaurant also plays familiar background music that somehow makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Add the wide selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and it becomes a great place not only for casual dinners, but also for dates, celebrations, drinking sessions with friends, or family gatherings. For those planning to visit: the all-you-can-eat course is 90 minutes, but you can stay in the restaurant for up to 120 minutes. There’s also a comfort room inside the restaurant, although there’s no parking space available. A few small points for improvement: While there is an elevator, it’s quite small, so during peak hours you may need to wait. Thankfully, the stairs are easy to find. 2. Outside the restaurant, there was a slightly strange smell in the building hallway (my nose is sensitive to smell). I think this may be related to the building itself since multiple restaurants operate there, but thankfully the smell completely disappears once you enter the restaurant. 3. The tissue paper in the comfort room could also be checked more regularly, as it needed replenishment during our visit (not sure if this was an isolated case). Overall, if you’re craving quality sukiyaki or shabu-shabu with excellent meat, generous portions, efficient service, and a convenient Shinsaibashi location, this is definitely a place worth trying. I left extremely full and satisfied!
