“Highly recommended Kobe & Wagyu experience”
“Absolutely delicious”
The kobe was the most delicious beef we have ever eaten - melt in the mouth is an understatement. Sensational. Prawns and salad also wonderful. Mizuki was so kind and accommodating and the lovely chef made us a delicious chilli sauce to have on the side. 10/10. Don’t hesitate.

“Worth the visit”
The wagyu was delicious- so tender but the Kobe beef less so. All in all a yummy dinner!

“Definitely a Tourist trap”
Don’t go there. 1. A restaurant where the first thing they do at the end if the meal is show you QR codes so that you give them a good review, that’s already a sign 2. Horrible house red wine for 1.100 yen a glass 3. 27.000 yen for 2 people for a small quantity of beef, basic salad, one beer and tha...t terrible wine 4. And above all, chewy and greasy “Kobe beef”, cooked in a basic soya sauce. The worst Japanese beef experience we ever had. 5. Small, basic place, no charm… and no one there ! (only 3 other people that night, whereas all other restaurants were very busy) The night after we had a wonderful dinner in Kyoto, fusion of French and Japanese cuisine, for less than that.

“Delicious, Great atmosphere.”
The location was easy to find, we saw it on Apple Maps and decided to give it a try, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was romantic, they had large seating areas for big groups, kitchen side seating and cushioned seating all over, it was very quiet which was surprising given its location and ho...w good it was, they have been open since 1955 and have extensive experience in the kitchen, definitely recommend for a more private/relaxing meal compared to the out door restaurants in the same area. The staff are very attentive and speak perfect English, very welcoming to foreigners like ourselves. In terms of value it was definitely a little more expensive than the street side food but worth it for the atmosphere and how good the food was. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto and looking for a place to sit and eat.
