pizzas or curries and great coffee. if in the Takano area eg on the way to or from Shugakuin, the Botanic Gardens or the temples in the north east, the café makes a charming escape or stopover it’s on the left bank of the Takano River where the bridge of the same name intersects Kitaoji Street. ...look out for the metre high signboard by the road with the handwritten menu to bring you there but not on Thursdays. it’s their rest day, to make up for being open thru the weekend
