“OMG! THE BEST!”
OMG!! The best Ramen we have had and so hard to forget!!! The flavour and spices were so good! Spice level 6!! Loved the firm noodle texture! If there is one reason to visit Japan again, it will be ICHIRAN!!!

“Ichiran - try it at least once ”
Fun experience to order and sit down in solo cubicles. Just like the YouTube videos described. The broth was flavourful not too salty. Just right. we ordered the cheapest version for 980 Yen and added a hard boiled egg which was cold and you have to peel the shell yourself which was a surprise but... still OK. I only got 2 very thin slices of pork. I did like the noodles, quite chewy. One thing that was different from other ramen places was their vending machine did not have an English option. We had to get the Japanese lady behind us to help us translate so my suggestion is watch the YouTube videos to familiarize yourself All together a nice experience. Oh also they sell their ramen in a box for I believe 550Yen and thought of buying a couple. We should have because later on we went to the Nishiki Market and they were charging 900 Yen for the same box!

“The very best ramen I have ever had”
I've been to Japan many times and I am a big fan of ramen. Prior to this place, my favourite had always been Fu'Unji in Tokyo, but this place (despite being a chain - heaven forbid!) was even better. You order your food in the usual way via a ticket machine at the entrance, then you select a one-per...son cubicle and are served from a faceless server through a rolling blind. Any additional orders can me made from your seat (though this obviously violates the hygiene restriction that cash is only provided to the machine, rather than to your server). You also peel your own eggs, which is a rather odd quirk that you will not find at any other ramen place in the entire country. Anyway, despite all these slight oddities, the system works pretty well. But the main thing is that the ramen is the absolute best you'll ever have (sorry Fu'Unji) even though this is apparently a chain (when did you EVER have good food at a chain restaurant?!)

“Make sure you do this”
Went on a recommendation for ramen. Was almost put off by the 45 minute wait…. but the Japanese love to queue! Glad we persevered. The order is taken by machine as you wait with preferences for heat if chilli, onions etc done on a tick sheet. Food is served in individual cubicles with a hatch where ...your order is delivered. No need to talk to the waiter as there are wooden fobs you use for communication. The pork ramen was delicious… spicy without the need to go above level 3. Loved it. Great experience with tasty food at a cheap price.

“My second time in Ichiran 👍”
We went to Ichiran in Namba Osaka last January 2023, and it was my first time. I really like it that also went and tried the one in Kawaramachi Kyoto. This meal is really filling. It's really good if you're hungry.
