“Very convenient location - a good place for lunch”
We stayed several nights at the Hotel Associa right in the JR station. We decided on our first night to explore eating in the station to save time and make an early night of it. We settled on this little nothing of a tonkatsu restaurant. It was not at all like our beloved Musashino in Ueno, but ...we didn’t expect it to be. The tonkatsu was somewhat tough, but the cabbage was crispy as it should be. There was plenty of rice and the miso was OK. It wasn’t a great meal; but for a chain tonkatsu place, it was OK. The restaurant was clean and bright, in fact at dinnertime we found the lights a bit too bright. This place might be a better choice for lunch.
