“Ok to eat, service needs to improve”
Based on all the reviews we had high expectations. Unfortunately we got disappointed about the food, all was served very fast after each other, some of the dishes were not served warm enough. The staff were very friendly and spoke very well English.

“Good but not as good as its competitor”
Went here after looking for top restaurants and I have to say Atsushi which is lower in the list far outstrips this high tier restaurant. Don’t get me wrong the food is nice; however, the taste extravaganza of Atsushi the night before makes me only able to say 4* for this. In addition, I felt like I... was on a in/out conveyor belt, fast accurate service but with a hint of ‘eat up and get out as fast as you can’. We could not have a relaxing evening meal here sadly. Again, food is nice and done quickly but it’s not deserving of the placement on trip advisor when Atsushi is also in the same town. 34 and 27 years old.

“A lucky find”
This restaurant was a great find. We dined there on two occasions. We enjoyed our first dinner there and immediately made a reservation for the next day. For this who like me can only eat so much raw seafood, this made a pleasant change with lots of tasty dishes of cooked fish and meat. Some of our ...favourites were the shrimp gratin croquette, croquette with minced beef, shrimp and mushroom tempura, chicken thigh with teriyaki sauce. The staff are polite and friendly. The ambience downstairs is better than upstairs but do not miss going there if the only table available is upstairs. Do make a reservation.

“Worth a visit”
Great little find close to our hotel. Tapas style Japanese food so smallish portions but very tasty. Gets very busy so need to book. You can sit by the kitchen watching the chefs perform. Fresh sea food well cooked and presented.

“Great food but below average atmosphere”
A victim of instagram and great online reviews. Although the food was above average, the restaurant was filled with the insta/influencer crowd and felt inauthentic. Our experience was not the fault of the chefs or the owners or the servers - there are just better places elsewhere in Kanazawa.
