“Good buffet but spread can be better ”
Had come here for lunch as a part of our stay at Nikko from 7th to 11th of June. They have tried to mix the spread between Japanese and a little bit of western food. The Japanese spread is great with counters for sushi, tempuras, beef curry, etc. Quality is also great. Have a nice dessert section as... well. Loved the ice cream that they had with the chocolate sauce. Where they can improve : a. The western spread can be a lot better. All they had was only pizzas. They could add some pastas, roasted chicken, steaks, some grilled fish, etc b. They have a bar there but they don’t serve drinks! Now this is a part that I just couldn’t digest. Why wouldn’t you serve drinks if you have a bar sitting right there? And I understand we need to pay extra for that which we are happy to. But why wouldn’t you serve c. The staff there has to speak better English. They cannot keep getting away by saying that this is Japan and people don’t speak English and all of that as it is rubbish. English is a global language and if they want to serve global customers then please go learn some English folks! So overall a great place to dine. But they need to improve these areas for sure.

“International Buffet”
Best thing upfront: The quality of the food is great. The restaurant's lights are rather bright so it is not a cozy place to eat really. Most people come in flip flops and shorts, a no-go for me in a dinner restaurant, rules to that should be more strict, particularly if you consider all the other ...very strict rules this hotel has. They claim to offer food from several different countries, which is great. Just that some things are far from the respective country they label them. But that's a detail as the the food is really good. There is even a designated kid corner!

“Incredible preparation ”
We are at several nice restaurants but this restaurant stood out. The selection & presentation was impressive. The tempura was perfect and the the watermelon radish salad was a treat. We would return.

“Breakfasts are great”
Tried the other restaurants in the hotel but found this one to have the best variety and atmosphere. Some really interesting dishes to try as a tourist.

“Was above average in general but selection on the short side”
Came here for buffet dinner and breakfast while we stayed at Nikki Alivila. Selection was limited for buffet breakfast especially fruit which had only pineapple and frozen lychee to choose from.
