生粉 手打そば 結喜庵

This is a soba restaurant in Hiroshima. No English menu, no English spoken. Luckily for us the menus have pictures so it was easy enough to choose. It is nominally a soba noodle restaurant but they also have tempura and yakitori. This place is so inexpensive it could make you cry tears of joy. It wa...s listed in the sadly defunct Michelin Guide to Hiroshima as a Bib Gourmand restaurant; meaning that it was great value. The soba noodles were perfect, the broth delicious, the food on sticks yummy and the tempura crunchy and hot. The service was excellent and friendly. Our having no Japanese and they no English was no barrier. In fact our kids were given a gift of a large fresh juicy apple when we left. A very hospitable place with delicious food. Places like Kiko Teuchisoba Yukian are the best.
