“THE ASSISTANT MANAGER FROM CASCADE WAS VERY RUDE TO US!”
Cascade Cafe August 15, 2020 Dinner Experience Our friend works for ANA InterContinental and invited us to celebrate my birthday and our two other friend’s birthday at the hotel. Our friend checked with his managers beforehand if he needs any requirement for a staff discount and is told he doesn’t ...need anything. We have a reservation for dinner and when we arrived at our seats we were asked for a discount slip. My friend who works there explained to the receptionist that he only has his staff ID and asked if we can still have a discount without the slip. Before we order the dinner buffet for twelve we made sure the discount is applicable so the receptionist confirmed her assistant manager that we can still receive a discount even without the slip. By the end of our meal, the staff gave us the bill and said we DO NOT have a discount because we don’t have a discount slip. We explained that we asked them before we order anything and their assistant manager approved it. They made us wait for 30 minutes to confirmed everything and the assistant manager said they have rules. We understand that they have rules but we are pointing out why they didn’t inform us in the first place when we double checked before ordering. The assistant manager went back and forth at our table for another 30 minutes telling us that their receptionist DID NOT say we can receive a discount and he was clearly saying we are NOT telling the truth. He was insisting for another 30 minutes that it was our mistake. At this point we were so disappointed, felt deceive and discriminated for being foreigners. We told the assistant manager we will call the police and he said okay and even asked how long will it take, and when the police finally arrived he called his Duty Manager and told him that he didn’t know we called the police. He made us look liars AGAIN. This is unacceptable! We expected great service from a 5 star hotel but they only made us wait for two hours total and made us the liar! OUR BIRTHDAY PLATE DID NOT ARRIVE! Our birthday celebration WAS RUINED! We will definitely make negative noise about your service especially about your assistant manager! Please have caution before thinking about dining at Cascade Cafe.
“Overall could be better ”
Revisited for dinner buffet. Food was overall very good whilst roast beef and deep-fried oyster didn’t live up to my expectation. Service quality depends on the staff. Overall could be better.

“Very average ”
Tried the dinner buffet here the first time and was the last too. The seafood menu included fish cake, fried fly oyster, saute tuna's cheek with garlic, anglur fish and cuttle fish bouillabaisse, grilled scallop in miso sauce, clam chowder, fish head soup, smoke salmon, crab... Be frank, the food pr...ovided was not terrible but very average standard. Most of them were just warm or even cold. Nothing outstanding nor exceeded expectations. Only tap water, hot water and tea were free flow and included in the charge. Other beverages were at additional costs. If interested, please consider making a reservation online. There was a decent discount offer.

“Very good buffet”
Visited for weekday dinner and chose dinner buffet. Very good food and ambience. Very comfortable with first class hotel restaurant buffet.

“Expensive Fish and Chips”
Very laid back atmosphere staff was very friendly. I had the fish and chips it was very good but the price wasn't worth it 2200 Yen for fish and chips was crazy. We has no choice but to eat at the hotel because there was a typhoon coming and we didn't want to get caught in it.
