“Humiliating”
Told two nights in a row there are no tables even though there was only one table occupied, can’t believe I am turned away because I am not Japanese! The same waiter both nights was incredibly rude. I never thought I would experience this in 2019 in Japan!

“Rude and dismissive staff”
We didn’t actually eat at Lumen as we were turned away from the door as they were “full” despite there being 3 or 4 empty tables. I don’t think they take reservations so no idea what was going on but the rudeness was unacceptable and a shock given how polite Japan is.

“A piece of Italy in Tokyo”
After eating tons of sushi, yakitori, sobas and okomiyakis, we looked for a more european flavours. And this is when Lumen appears. We used this restaurant as Headquarter to explore Kabukicho and Golden Gai, because its proximity. Delicious italian food at the very heart of Tokyo. We tasted homemad...e pasta, some apetizers, and a couple of pizzas, all of them delicious. Do not forget to order tiramisú!. Maybe it is a little pricey (2 dishes, tiramisu, wine, coffe, 6000 JPY/person) , specially if you order liquor at the end, probably because the ingredients are imported from Italy. but for us, it was very reasonable, The waiter is english speaking, and very kind (Japanese signature)
