“Traditional Japanese experience, if you want to try Japanese only Menu and Services”
Average costs 10,000yen per person if you like to enjoy famous beef steak. Very traditional plate settings and beautiful Japanese decoration with small plates for each cuisine. I recommend choosing steamed rice with burdock, but I chose Yomogi (Japanese mugwort) noodle and it was a disappointment.... Noodle was over cooked and there was no Yomogi flavor. Beef Sumiyaki was very good, tender and fatty tummy. Time is running like in ancient Japanese age, we spent almost 2.5 hours there enjoying lunch with family. One thing disappoints me was Coffee Terrace Mizunone 水の音 out side of main house. No coffee flavor and taste like low quality instant coffee. You need to satisfy river view seating, but do not expect good coffee. I do not recommend this Coffee Terrace. Overall four stars, because of this bad experience just for a cup of coffee.

“The quintessential Japanese experience!”
Lovely setting in a renovated 19th century house, great service followed by a ballet of swishing doors, small porcelain dished with morsels of Japanese delicacies and a charcoal grill on which mountain river fish on bamboo skewers cook. This same grill serves later to cook wagyu beef, small belle pe...ppers and mushrooms... The essential question: would I go back again? Yes, and I most likely will do so in another season.

“Like a dream!”
Yes...if you made it in the middle of nowhere, at this idyllic location, chances are high that you'll be invited. This is a special place, not for tourists. The setting (interior and sorroundings) are dreamlike, if you like "deep Japan". You would almost believe that Yueyasu Tokugawa or his lover O'...man-no-kata are dining in the next room. The atmosphere is impossible to describe and while Tokyo is full of excellent and wonderful places, this venues is something that you would really take pride in having been invited to. Fish, meat, poultry, vegetable and else are excellent and delicious. If you know my usual reviews, you will know that I do not spare harsh critics even to the most famous and popular place: however, when its high its high and I must give an "est, est, est". This place is fantastic and you won't regret a visit!

“Dine in natural beauty in Old Japan”
Simply wonderful and special traditional establishment. Beautiful natural setting beside a stream in a forested glen with fine, traditional country dining. Private rooms for each party. Call ahead for reservation. A shuttle can be arranged as well, for parties of 10 or more. Quiet, rustic location. ...A cultural experience and not just a meal. Bring extra yen. $$$$

“An Occasion of a Lifetime”
One word that comes to mind in every aspect of this restaurant is impressive. From the location and architecture to the service and of course the food, it's all incredibly impressive. The food is top notch and as such, you'll pay for it. Recently I was brought here on a business occasion, and let... me say, I was impressed. (Are you seeing a theme here?) If you go here, keep an open mind about the food. A lot of it you won't know what it is, so taste it with an open mind. I'm not a fish lover, but even the fish had me wishing for more. Thinking back, I'm still impressed. There's a reason this place is famous. If anything, it's probably under-hyped.
