We went with our family of four, two kids (11 and 14) and two adults. The food was ok but way too overpriced. You can only choose between set menus and the smallest was 7500 yen. We ended up paying 57,000 yen for the four of us, and all agreed that we have had much better food and service at other r...estaurants for much less. Skip this tourist trap and go to something smaller and more authentic.

Definitely the best meal I had in Kyoto so far! I would recommend all my family and friends to come here if they visit Kyoto. Food was excellent, but service was the best part of it. The gentleman helping us was very attentive throughout the meal, and he even went out of his way to find some other r...estaurant recommendation for us when I asked. I don’t usually write restaurant reviews, but I feel I really need to write one for the restaurant to show my appreciation!!

The service was spectacular. We had never really had a shabu shabu before and wanted to try it but did not know what to do or what to expect. The servers were able to guide us effectively and easily. The matcha dessert was lovely and the meat was very high quality. Thank you very much.

5 stars!!!! I have gluten allergy and staff (上川） was extremely friendly and helpful in swapping out any of the gluten containing to accommodate my allergy. Highly recommend!!

Portion too small. The seasoning does not match with the sauce provided. The shabu shabu soup base is literally boiled water with seaweed which is completely tasteless. Given that the dinner set costs more than 10,000 Japanese yen, I would have expected higher quality and bigger portion. This is r...eally below my expectation and I am extremely disappointed. Overall the CP ratio is very low. I will never visit this restaurant again.
