“Super delicious meal with wakasagi (smelt) cooked different ways and thick flat udon!”
This is a real hidden gem, serving authentic Japanese food. It's located pretty near Togendai-ko and has free parking beside the restaurant. It's easily the best meal of my Tokyo/Hakone trip! The restaurant offers an English menu. Service is awesome and dishes are inexpensive.

“Hidden gem”
A cosy restaurant that specialises in wakasagi (a type of small fish) cuisine. We ordered the Wagasaki Gozen which allowed us to taste the fish cooked using different methods. The fish can also be eaten whole with the bones. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal!
