“Good things come to those who wait in line”
We went because we saw that the line wasn’t super long. Waited for maybe 30 mins before we got a table. Food was amazing! We had the standard set as well as the tsukemen - both the adults and kids loved it. Suitable for families with young kids - they had booster seats available as well as kids cu...tlery

“High-class mentaiko on a rice bed”
My friend really wanted to go to this restaurant. The restaurant is very busy and people always seem to be queuing. We were lucky that we got in without queuing. The restaurant had a pleasant, high-class and "woody-cozy" atmosphere. It was our first time eating mentaiko. We ordered the set-meal wit...h chicken soup. I could tell that the food was prepared with much care. We liked the seasoned cod roe on the rice and seaweed-bed. It was a fullfilling meal. I wouldn't say that I became a fan of mentaiko, but I didn't dislike it. Sure, it was expensive, but it was worth the try. My friend really liked it. The chicken soup was refreshing, flavourful and very very tasty!

“Good location, good taste, but a little bit expensive ”
Hakata Mentaiju is a restaurant of Mentaiko on rice specialty. This restaurant, located near Hakata Deaibashi bridge, is well known, as many celebrities are visiting. Their autographs are displayed in the entrance hall. Mentaiju, their specialty, is delicious. You can choose the volume of rice as we...ll as the kind of sauce. But even for lunch, it is a little bit expensive. Actually, I can make the same thing at home.

“Truly a Mentaiko Paradise!”
Need not more introduce, if you are a lover of mentaiko, how can you miss this out. All thanks to my jap friend for the intro. Despite heavy rain, the que was still about 30mins+ long. Ordered the most basic and popular set, Hamsui set. Service was on point, the place itself (Exterior was so woody ...feel) and interior was so cosy.I actually like it when they ask u to choose the spiciness, take the small wooden token and pass to the staff when ordering. Food was serve inside a white porcein, looks so good when open up for your ig post. Just when you though such a small portion feels so little and you wouldnt be able to feel full, you are wrong because i feel super full after we were paying at the counter and it actually lasted me till 5pm+ (consider we ate at 11am).

“Mentaiko lovers paradise”
Only go if you LOVE mentaiko. There will be a queue but worth it. The noodles dipped in broth were heavenly, drooling as I'm writing this. Limited selection of chooses, so again only for mentaiko lovers.
