We had a great lunch here at Shabugen, wonderful service and really tasty food. Both of us opted for the pork and beef special which was delicious! Don't panic when all your meat doesn't come at once, the staff here are keeping their eye on you and once you've devoured the first dish (ours was the p...ork) the second dish will quickly follow!

Just around the corner from my office, great place , nice decor and pleasant personalized service.There is also a nice range of sake including sparkling for different palates.The beef is sliced butchers shop style in front of diners

Go there for lunch and it is very low price compared to other places. Go there for dinner and it is still very reasonable. It is possible to enjoy a dinner for 4600 yen - that is a dinner set with meat, fish, vegetables, rice, noodles etc. You have your own cooking pot in front of you at the counte...r which is the seating area here. The Chefs in the middle bring the food raw materials and assist you with advice how to boil your stuff, what sort of dressing/sauce is the best to use, etc.etc. They are so helpful. Beers and wines available. It is an enjoyable place. If you have a great budget there are dinner sets with the most excellemt Wagyu and Kobe meat, but the most pricy set is also extremely good and tasty!

This place was awesome. The atmosphere is really nice, the alcohol selection is great, and the staff was really friendly and spoke VERY good English. It is on the 5th floor of a building, the elevator door opens straight to the restaurant. It has a high class feeling in a cozy feeling. The only reas...on I am giving this 4, instead of 5, stars is because I have never had shabu shabu before so don't know how this restaurant compares to others. If you have never had shabu shabu, come hungry. My fiancé and I both ordered off the set menu and it is A TON of food. We were a little hesitant because the price is high, we ended up spending 15000 yen, but it is literally a 5 course meal and definitely worth it. I strongly encourage you to check this place out.

The nice thing here is each guest has its own pot for the Shabu Shabu. Great for foreigners who are not used to eating from shared plates. Stylish place.
