“Fantastic teppanyaki dinner.”
Everything was great, starting with the shrimp + scallop, but the highlight was the Wagyu: so good! Place has a lovely view of the Japanese garden.

“Top notch teppanyaki”
Business dinner. Amazing atmosphere. Go through the New Otani Hotel, pass by the one and only Japanese Garden named Japanese garden in Tokyo, day or night and then enjoy the small (so reserve in advance) and the cosy place. This was the best teppanyaki i have enjoyed. Fresh veggies, meats and seafo...od. The best wagyu meat (A4 quality) have been complemented by some amazing wines from Napa aka Mondavi. The chefs are top notch, service attentive and in an excellent English, with a good explanation for everything.

“Top notch food and services!”
My husband and I ordered from different set menu, because we like to try two different selection. Because usually couples order two from the same set menu. Chef cook each dish with double portions. Since we ordered two different set menu, so we kept Chef very busy. Chef did not disappoint us, ...we enjoyed each one of the dish!

“Worst food I have ever had at any restaurant in Japan in 20 years.”
Awful. Truly awful. Worst food I have ever had at any restaurant in Japan in 20 years. The beef main course was good. However, the vegetables, which were mostly green peppers, were served raw in a high-ball glass, in goop, and not fried and served. The appetizer was a heavy and very dense ball of me...at in a gyoza wrapper that was inedible. The amuse was overcooked beef in simple syrup and soy sauce and was also inedible. Other appetizers were unimaginative and the same things served in the morning buffet. The seafood was overcooked, not in butter as advertised. The garlic rice was burned and bitter. The sauces for the seafood and steak are below average. The service was unpleasant and condescending. Simply the worst in almost every respect. and they charged Y30,000 for that meal. Stay way. Stay far away.

“An escape to highly marbled beef...”
In the grounds of the hotel New Otani its a combination of muted theatre and great food. Our chef was patient and gestures towards some good choices. Highly marbled beef on the grill, scallops and other seafood was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I’ve never tasted pure white fat cooked to perfect...ion before.
