FLIPPER'S Shibuya

Absolutely delicious lunch of pancakes. We tried the strawberry, apples and salted Carmel We did quite a bit of sharing when all the food arrived. In total it was just under an hour from start of line until we had our food. We really were looking forward to going here and very glad we did.

Stumbled upon Flippers whilst wondering the streets of Shibuya looking for a snack. The queue suggested Flippers was worth investigating and tempted by the menu, we committed to a 20 min wait to get a table. Flippers is a soufflé pancake place with various toppings from fried chicken to fresh fru...it. They also have some salads and various juices and sodas. We ordered whilst still queuing and were told the pancakes would take 15 mins. Instead we waited nearly 40 mins, with only the painfully milky coffee for company. When the pancakes came, they were almost worth the wait. The pancakes are delicious with the strawberry and cinnamon apple being the crowd pleasers. Definitely worth a visit but expect a long wait and avoid the coffee!

Slow doesn’t come close. Staff do not speak clear English so the information given about waiting times is highly confusing. We queued for a table for 1h15 (despite being allegedly told it would be 40 minutes) and then were told the food order would be 40 minutes (despite the menu saying that order...s for pancakes take 20 minutes). Staff are unbearably slow, no urgency and sum up this place - arrogant and totally lacking in care for customer service. No pandake (in fact any food!) can be worth a 2 hour wait when the queue wasn’t that big! Avoid like the plague.

Food was fine but the queue was long, service could have been faster. Makes no sense that they left some tables empty.

We got to Flipper's before lunchtime, and waited no more then 15mins to be seated. Food came out in under 40mins. The pancakes were out of this world and worth the wait.
