The owner-chef of STEAK KEI was born into the family processed meat business of Houshakuji Temple in Takanezawa, Tochigi Prefecture.
I have loved meat ever since I can remember! I soon became interested in cooking for myself.
He learned how to select the finest of meats, how to process meat, and how to eat meat deliciously from his father so as to help the family work. He soon dreamed of using this knowledge to one day open a delicious meat restaurant.
I worked hard to train as a chef and successfully inherited "Steak Kei" from my father. My elder brother inherited the family processed meat business.
My elder brother and I painstakingly choose the meat to use for the processed steak. We even judge the level of meat maturity before deliciously grilling them one by one.
Our restaurant also opens for lunch - don't hesitate to drop by.
