Kaisen Buffet Dining Ginzahappo Shinjuku

We had such a wonderful experience at Ginza Happo Shinjuku Seafood Buffet! The selection of crabs available was incredible, and we decided to go for three whole heart-shaped crabs and some snow crabs. As I was wondering how we were going to break these beautiful crabs apart, Itosawa-san came to our... rescue. He kindly offered to prepare the crabs for us, and the level of skill he has in preparing them is truly unmatched. Before we knew it, he had transformed our three crabs into four big plates, perfectly broken down and ready to enjoy with just an easy bite. His thoughtfulness, kindness, and exceptional service made our experience even more special. It was clear that he takes great pride in what he does, and his attention to detail made such a difference. It wasn’t just a great meal—it was a truly memorable experience. Thank you, Itosawa-san, for making our dinner so enjoyable and for taking such good care of us! We would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

That was awesome. The concept, the staff and the food of course. So much and so good, i could not try everything alltough i thought i‘m a solid eater. This is highly recommended!

Having enjoyed the Ginza location twice, this was my first time visiting the Shinjuku location, and it was a very disappointing experience. We were a group of four and arrived at around 7:30 PM without a reservation. I was asked nicely for a table and The male host told us the wait would be 40 minu...tes. I agreed, but he ignored me until I asked for a pager. He then mentioned we will seated at 8:15 PM but would need to leave by 10:00 PM. I agreed again, and he gave us a pager. About 10 minutes later, a group of three white young men arrived, also without a reservation, and was seated within 10 minutes. Shortly after, a Chinese group with a Japanese speaker arrived without a reservation and was also seated before us! When I went to the male host and ask why groups who arrived after us were being seated first, he ignored my question, repeatedly said we were "next," and had a server seat us immediately. It felt like obviously he treat customers differently. The rest of the staff were friendly, but this initial experience ruined the meal. As for the food, the seafood was great, but the Wagyu beef was mediocre. For an all-you-can-eat restaurant where every guest pays the same set price, everyone deserves equal respect. As a frequent traveler fluent in English, Chinese, and Spanish, I never have any problem in Japan and who has always recommended this restaurant to friends, I will not be returning to the Shinjuku location again.

Very nice concept. Vast amount of food and variety. Excellent options for crabs, shrimps and oysters. Good option after a long tour day.
