The Kinkaku Course was one of the best omakase experiences I've had in Japan. The quality of the meat was top-tier, and the presentation was truly impressive. The beautiful garden backdrop added to the lovely atmosphere and made the dining experience even more memorable. What stood out the most, how...ever, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. I also have to mention the matcha beer—it was surprisingly delicious and definitely worth trying! Overall, this is an experience I highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and high-quality dining experience in Japan.

I highly recommend 京町家 焼肉 市場小路 木屋町店 (Yakiniku Ichiba Koji Kiyamachi)! From start to finish, the service was absolutely fantastic—the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. As for the food, the presentation is superb and incredibly beautiful. But it’s not just stunning to look at; the... actual quality and taste of the meat are top-tier. Every bite was delicious and lived up to the gorgeous presentation. If you are looking for amazing yakiniku with top-notch service in a beautiful setting, this is the place to go!

I had the Kinkaku Course at Ichiba Koji Kiyamachi in Kyoto and it was a satisfying dining experience overall. The dishes were beautifully presented and the ingredients tasted fresh, especially the sashimi and grilled items. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt warm and lively, making it a great pla...ce to enjoy a traditional Japanese meal with friends or family. The staff were polite and attentive throughout the course, and the pacing of the dishes was well balanced. While some portions could have been slightly bigger, the variety of food included in the course made the experience enjoyable and worth trying when visiting Kyoto.

I came to Kyoto to see the cherry blossoms and chose this restaurant because it was super close to the station. The atmosphere was amazing — the staff gave us seats by the window, and when we opened it, we could see the cherry blossoms right outside. It honestly felt so special and made the whole ex...perience unforgettable. The food was also incredible. We got to enjoy both yakiniku and sukiyaki in one meal, and everything tasted so good. They even had matcha beer, which was such a unique Kyoto experience. Great food, beautiful view, and such a cozy atmosphere — definitely one of my favorite memories from this trip 🌸
