“Authentic Kyoto Dining Experience”
The traditional Kyoto townhouse atmosphere made the meal feel very special. The wagyu was tender and flavorful, and every dish was beautifully prepared. A wonderful place to enjoy authentic Japanese yakiniku in Kyoto.

“One of the best restaurants in Kyoto”
We had a blast at this restaurant! Our senses were overjoyed with the ambience, unique dishes and warm service! Highly recommended to anyone searching for perfct fusion restaurant!

“Kyoto Machiya Yakiniku Ichibakoji Kiyamachi store”
This was one of the best meals during my time in Kyoto. The Kinkaku Omakase course was full of amazing food, and every dish was made with so much care. The A5 Kobe beef sirloin sukiyaki was the highlight. The thick-cut tongue and different cuts of meat were also incredible. The presentation was als...o really cool. Some dishes came out with smoke effects. The clay pot rice was a big surprise. The rice is specially chosen by Hachidaime Gihei, and it matched perfectly with the meat. The restaurant has a great Kyoto feel, traditional but also modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and made the whole dinner even better. A place I would happily visit again. Highly recommend.

“Everything tasted so good and presented beautifully.”
The Kinkaku Omakase course was such a nice meal. Everything was so tasty and looked so beautiful. (I love the smoke effect!) The best part was the A5 Kobe beef sirloin sukiyaki. The meat was so soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The thick-cut tongue and other meat were also really good. The clay po...t rice was a nice surprise too. The rice was specially chosen by Hachidaime Gihei and went so well with the meat. The restaurant had a really nice Kyoto feel, and the staff were so friendly. It was such a special meal.

“An omakase like no other”
The Kinkaku Course was one of the best omakase experiences I've had in Japan. The quality of the meat was top-tier, and the presentation was truly impressive. The beautiful garden backdrop added to the lovely atmosphere and made the dining experience even more memorable. What stood out the most, how...ever, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. I also have to mention the matcha beer—it was surprisingly delicious and definitely worth trying! Overall, this is an experience I highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and high-quality dining experience in Japan.
