“Table top charcoal BBQ in traditional Japanese venues”
Original wooden floor, beams, layout... from its entrance onwards, you feel you time slipped into Japan of decades ago. One of Kantekiya is between Yodoyabashi and Honmachi UG station, an ex-dorcot's house specialises in serving tabletop charcoal BBQ. We chose shellfish course, you have a variety of... shellfish and vegetables with side dishes. The waitress come and look after your food on the BBQ. In the low light, it is calm and very entertaining. If I come to a venue like this in London, Tokyo etc. I would no doubt give them the top score, but it is in Osaka, where eating good food is nothing special but daily life here, so Kantekiya 's high quality food and amazing setting are both not surprising enough for the expected standard for Osaka to give full score yet. You must book ahead, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic and memorable dining experience here. There are other venues by the same company. They all look nice on their website.
