“Friendly staff pours sake generously”
We were looking for a place to have some sake in the evening. We wandered around the night district, but sake is déclassé these days. We heard from a sake brewer that it represents only about 7% of alcohol consumed in Japan, and many brewers have gone out of business. This place had a bunch of sake ...bottles in the window, so we gave it a try. There was a table charge (and a little snack that came with it). The sake selection was actually pretty limited, but we picked one, and they poured for us. They put the glass in a box, filled the glass till it poured over and filled the box. There was a lively crowd inside, and if we hadn't just eaten, we would have tried some of their food.
