I was taken here when visiting Kyoto again after the pandemic by a friend and colleague who knows the city well and who knew I wanted to dine Kyoto style. We sat at the counter and had the perfect Kyoto dinner - sublime taste, wonderful display, and exactly the kind of friendly yet unobtrusive servi...ce one wants. This was the large Fall menu and it took a long, long time - but what better way to spend an evening? I would especially recommend their self-made, oil-infused (!) soy sauce, of which I took a bottle along. One previous reviews said they do not accept credit cards; they do. The one German hate review, by a one-review reviewer, is safely ignored (too bad those get stuck on tripadvisor); just nonsense.

We are a family of 7 including elderly and teenager. But we all have an excellent dining experience here. Food quality is superb. Delicate Japanese cuisine. Absolutely value for money. Pictures show the basic dinner set. Beef is a la carte not included in the set.
