SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE There is so much to unpack here. The place and the cops are crooked. The owner will increase the price beyond the agreed upon value. The meal was a joke and it was rice,4 pieces of sashimi, and the rest was tofu and vegetables ALL SHARED between 4 ppl for $8000 yen wh...en the agreed value was $6600 yen. We were already unhappy with the meal and he pulls this stunt and we stood our ground. Using prices he has on HIS OWN MENU and agreed amount he refused to acknowledge it and said no new price. I request the cops to be called after he threaten to call them because the dishonesty and to my surprise 4 showed up and demanded us to pay without hearing outside. This is ridiculous. This is a disgrace and dishonorable act on behave of the business owner and the police. Karma will serve you all well. STAY FAR AWAY. Refused to give an itemized receipt and threaten to call the cops. They came and blackmailed us… crazy Japan is like this… never coming back

SCAMS TOURISTS!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! My friends and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and were scammed. We agreed on a set price with the owner before the meal, but when it came time to pay, he suddenly increased the price on the spot for the males and refused to explain and provid...e a detailed receipt or breakdown of the charges. He instead made up a number and demanded we pay it immediately. When we calmly explained that this was not the deal we agreed to, the owner called the police on us. Even more shocking, the police refused to listen to our side and simply told us we had to pay because we had eaten the food — regardless of the clear deception. We were clearly out numbered as we were foreigners and the police weren’t listening to us. What makes it worse is that we were served very little food — a total of four tiny dishes were we only got a few bites. The portions were absurdly small for the price we had originally agreed on — we each had a few bites of the 4 dishes and completely unjustifiable for the inflated amount he demanded. We were denied a proper receipt, and treated with complete disrespect. This felt like a setup — a bait-and-switch followed by intimidation. Avoid this place at all costs. There are many honest restaurants out there — this is NOT one of them.
