“Quiet & peaceful - excellent food”
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the dining room offers comfortable low seating with a relaxing ambience. We lunched on the seasonal menu of six dishes (Y4000 incl. a beer & sake). Unobtrusive service, delicious food - highly recommend.

“Quick lunch, great beautiful place”
Came here by recommendation of our driver And it was amazing I had the udon, with duck To die for The ladys that greet you are so nice and welcoming

“Beautiful restaurant”
Convenient for being just a block away from the Kyoto Handicraft Center. We had the Duck Udon and the Local plate, both very delicious. They don't speak English, but they have an English menu. The setting is beautiful with a well-tended garden and huge windows looking out on it.

“Lovely oasis ”
We ate here before going to the Kyoto craft center. It's in a converted old family home. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The restaurant was full of mostly Japanese when we were there but they a had an English menu. They essentially have soba and udon with different preparations. We had duck s...oba and it was great. I also ordered the "local" plate which was a set with rice and 6 small dishes. It was very tasty. The 4 of us aye for less than $60 USD.
